Lyn Bajaj is an accomplished educational leader with extensive experience leading school improvement, organizational development, systems alignment, and educational equity initiatives across Colorado. As an Analytic Partner with The Impact Team, Lyn recently completed her first full year supporting school and district leaders in strengthening instructional leadership, improving organizational effectiveness, and implementing sustainable systems that accelerate student achievement.
Throughout her career, Lyn has successfully led both large-scale district initiatives and school-based transformation efforts focused on improving outcomes for students and strengthening leadership capacity. Her experience spans school and district leadership roles across Colorado’s Front Range, including serving as a turnaround principal in historically underserved communities for nearly a decade and leading equity and inclusion initiatives for a large suburban school district. As a principal, she guided significant gains in student achievement across multiple accountability measures and successfully improved school performance ratings on the state accountability framework.
Lyn brings deep expertise in leadership coaching, continuous improvement, systems development, educational equity, and data-informed decision making. Through her work with The Impact Team, she partners side-by-side with principals, instructional leadership teams, and district leaders to analyze performance data, identify root causes, develop strategic action plans, and implement high-leverage improvement strategies. She also conducts comprehensive school quality reviews, facilitates improvement planning processes, and provides individualized leadership coaching to support leaders navigating complex school improvement efforts.
In addition to her work with The Impact Team, Lyn serves as a Site Professor in the School of Education and Human Development at the University of Colorado Denver, where she supports aspiring educators and school leaders with a focus on equity-centered instruction, continuous improvement, and effective leadership practices.
Previously, Lyn co-led a national cohort of schools focused on advancing educational equity and served as lead author of the white paper, Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging in Schools: What Matters Most. Her work has consistently centered on creating systems and conditions that ensure all students have access to high-quality learning opportunities and supportive educational environments.
Lyn’s professional preparation includes an Executive Education Certificate from the Harvard Law School Program on Leadership and Negotiation, a Certificate in Turnaround School Leadership from the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia, and a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership. Her areas of expertise include turnaround leadership, instructional leadership, systems improvement, social-emotional learning, continuous improvement, and educational equity.
A respected leader and advocate, Lyn has served on nonprofit and professional boards supporting educators, students, and families and has been recognized nationally for her contributions to educational leadership and equity. Her work is grounded in the belief that strong leadership, coherent systems, and intentional implementation are essential to achieving sustainable improvement and equitable outcomes for all students.
