Cristina Bansch Schott – Analytic Partner, The Impact Team

Cristina Bansch Schott is a highly respected educational leader with more than 30 years of experience serving students, educators, and school communities within Denver Public Schools. Throughout her distinguished career, she has held leadership roles spanning instructional coaching, school administration, principal development, and district leadership, developing a deep expertise in instructional improvement, leadership coaching, and organizational change.

As one of The Impact Team’s founding Analytic Partners, Cristina has been instrumental in shaping and implementing the organization’s approach to leadership development, instructional excellence, and sustainable school improvement. Since the organization’s inception, she has partnered with school and district leaders to strengthen instructional leadership systems, build leadership capacity, and accelerate student achievement through strategic coaching and implementation support.

Cristina served for six years as an Instructional Superintendent, leading a network of 20 elementary, middle, and K–8 schools in Southwest Denver. In this role, she coached principals, guided school improvement planning, facilitated leadership development, monitored performance outcomes, and supported schools in implementing district priorities while maintaining a relentless focus on teaching and learning. Most recently, Cristina directed Denver Public Schools’ Alternative Principal Licensure Program, where she developed and supported aspiring school leaders, helping prepare the next generation of principals to lead high-performing schools.

Her experience also includes service as an elementary principal, assistant principal, and instructional coach. As principal of Knapp Elementary School, Cristina led significant gains in student achievement and growth, resulting in the school receiving the prestigious Colorado Centers of Excellence Award from the Colorado Department of Education on two separate occasions for outstanding student performance and academic growth.

Originally from Argentina, Cristina brings a unique perspective and deep commitment to educational equity, bilingual education, biliteracy development, and culturally responsive leadership. She has extensive experience supporting multilingual learners, leading diverse school communities, and helping leaders create instructional environments where all students can thrive.

Known for her strategic thinking, collaborative leadership style, and unwavering commitment to student success, Cristina partners side-by-side with leaders to strengthen instructional practices, build effective leadership teams, implement continuous improvement processes, and develop sustainable systems that improve outcomes for students and staff alike. Her work is grounded in the belief that strong leadership, coherent systems, and collective efficacy are essential drivers of lasting school improvement.
