Alona Hastings – Analytic Partner, The Impact Team

Alona Hastings is a highly accomplished educational leader with more than 34 years of experience driving instructional improvement, developing educator capacity, and leading school transformation efforts. Throughout her career, she has served as a classroom teacher, literacy specialist, instructional coach, staff developer, assistant principal, principal, and instructional superintendent, providing her with a comprehensive understanding of the systems, leadership practices, and instructional conditions necessary to improve student outcomes.

As one of The Impact Team’s founding Analytic Partners, Alona has been an integral member of the organization since its inception in 2022. In this role, she has partnered with school and district leaders to strengthen instructional leadership, improve organizational effectiveness, and implement sustainable systems that accelerate student achievement.

As both a school and district leader, Alona has successfully coached principals, leadership teams, and educators in strengthening instructional practices, implementing continuous improvement processes, and building collaborative cultures focused on student achievement. Her expertise includes instructional leadership development, literacy improvement, professional learning design, coaching systems, Professional Learning Communities (PLCs), and data-informed decision making.

Alona has extensive experience supporting schools serving diverse student populations, including schools engaged in improvement, turnaround, and achievement acceleration efforts. She has partnered with leaders to strengthen instructional leadership, implement evidence-based improvement strategies, develop effective collaborative team structures, and build sustainable systems that increase organizational effectiveness and student achievement.

Known for her ability to build trust while maintaining a strong focus on results, Alona partners side-by-side with leaders to translate strategic priorities into actionable practices that improve teaching and learning. She brings deep experience facilitating leadership teams, developing instructional capacity, supporting Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS), and helping schools implement sustainable systems that strengthen adult practice and accelerate student growth.
