Cheri Wrench is a highly accomplished educational leader and bilingual consultant with more than 20 years of experience in K–12 education and over six years of consulting experience supporting schools, districts, and educational organizations. Throughout her career, she has successfully led school improvement initiatives, organizational transformation efforts, strategic planning processes, and leadership development programs designed to improve educational outcomes and strengthen system effectiveness.

As a Consultant with The Impact Team, Cheri partners with school and district leaders to strengthen leadership capacity, facilitate continuous improvement efforts, and implement sustainable systems that support teaching, learning, and organizational effectiveness. Her expertise spans instructional leadership, school turnaround, organizational development, strategic planning, leadership coaching, governance, and change management.

Cheri’s leadership experience includes serving as a teacher, assistant principal, principal, district leader, Executive Director of the Colorado Association of School Boards (CASB), and educational consultant. Across these roles, she has developed a reputation for building collaborative partnerships, facilitating complex organizational initiatives, and helping leaders navigate change while maintaining a clear focus on student success.

A recognized expert in school quality review and improvement planning, Cheri serves as a lead reviewer and report author for comprehensive school quality reviews conducted across the country. Through this work, she has partnered with schools and districts to analyze performance data, identify root causes, evaluate organizational systems, and develop actionable recommendations that drive measurable improvements in student achievement and organizational effectiveness.

Cheri also provides strategic planning, facilitation, and leadership development support to educational organizations and district leadership teams. Her experience leading large-scale initiatives enables her to effectively support leaders in aligning vision, strategy, systems, and implementation efforts to achieve sustainable results.

Certified in Prosci Change Management and a recipient of the Distinguished Principal Certificate from the Relay Graduate School of Education, Cheri brings both technical expertise and practical leadership experience to every engagement. Her background in bilingual education further strengthens her ability to support diverse school communities and educational environments.

Cheri holds dual bachelor’s degrees in Elementary Education and Spanish from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, an International MBA, and principal licensure from the University of Denver. Raised in Colorado’s public education system across both urban and rural communities, she remains deeply committed to educational equity, access, and ensuring every student experiences high-quality learning opportunities.

Her work is grounded in the belief that sustainable improvement requires strong leadership, coherent systems, meaningful stakeholder engagement, and disciplined implementation.
