Dr. Darlene LeDoux – Education Leader, The Impact Team
Dr. Darlene LeDoux is a respected leader in education with over forty years of experience spanning classroom teaching, school leadership, and executive roles in both rural, urban and suburban settings. Rooted in Denver, Colorado, her career includes leadership positions in Denver Public Schools (DPS) and Cherry Creek Schools, where she made significant contributions to student achievement and district-wide improvement.
In DPS, Dr. LeDoux served in influential roles such as Assistant Superintendent for School Community Partnerships and Executive Director of Academic Achievement for English Learners, supporting over 34,000 multilingual learners. She played a pivotal role in establishing Colorado’s first Seal of Biliteracy. Her work consistently centers on language learners, equity, culturally responsive education, and family engagement.
Beyond her district leadership, Dr. LeDoux is a dedicated community advocate. She currently serves as an Executive Leadership Coach and Ambassador for the La Raza Project and has held statewide leadership roles in principal and personnel associations. Dr. LeDoux has contributed to numerous boards, including the Children’s Museum and the University of Northern Colorado Board of Trustees.
Her many accolades, including the Latinas First Foundation Trailblazer Award and the Samuel J. Frazin Award for innovation in biliteracy, reflects her deep impact on multilingual education and leadership development. Dr. LeDoux holds a B.A. in Education from the University of Northern Colorado, and both an M.A. in Bilingual/ESL Education and a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership from the University of Colorado Denver.
