Dr. Darlene LeDoux is a highly respected educational leader with more than forty years of experience advancing student achievement, developing leadership capacity, and leading system-wide improvement efforts across urban, suburban, and rural school settings. As an Analytic Partner with The Impact Team, Darlene recently completed her first year partnering with school and district leaders to strengthen instructional leadership, improve organizational effectiveness, and create equitable learning opportunities for all students.
Throughout her distinguished career, Dr. LeDoux has served as a classroom teacher, principal, executive director, assistant superintendent, and district leader, bringing a comprehensive understanding of educational systems and the leadership practices necessary to drive sustainable improvement. Her work has consistently focused on building the capacity of leaders and educators to improve outcomes for students while fostering strong partnerships among schools, families, and communities.
Within Denver Public Schools, Dr. LeDoux served in several influential executive leadership roles, including Assistant Superintendent for School Community Partnerships and Executive Director of Academic Achievement for English Learners. In these capacities, she led district-wide initiatives supporting more than 34,000 multilingual learners, strengthened instructional systems, advanced educational equity, and expanded opportunities for students and families across the district. She was instrumental in establishing Colorado’s first Seal of Biliteracy, a landmark initiative that continues to recognize and celebrate students’ multilingualism and academic achievement.
Dr. LeDoux brings extensive expertise in instructional leadership, multilingual learner achievement, leadership coaching, organizational development, family and community engagement, equity-centered leadership, and systems improvement. She has a proven track record of helping leaders navigate complex challenges, align resources and priorities, and implement strategies that improve both adult practice and student outcomes.
A passionate advocate for educational excellence and opportunity, Dr. LeDoux currently serves as an Executive Leadership Coach and Ambassador for the La Raza Project, supporting emerging and experienced leaders in strengthening their leadership effectiveness and expanding opportunities for underserved communities. Her experience coaching leaders, facilitating strategic initiatives, and building collaborative partnerships enables her to support schools and districts in achieving meaningful and lasting improvement.
Dr. LeDoux’s contributions to education have been recognized through numerous honors, including the Latinas First Foundation Trailblazer Award and the Samuel J. Frazin Award for Innovation in Biliteracy. She has also served in leadership roles within statewide professional associations and on numerous nonprofit and educational boards, further demonstrating her commitment to public education and community service.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Education from the University of Northern Colorado, a Master of Arts in Bilingual/ESL Education, and a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership from the University of Colorado Denver. Her work is grounded in the belief that strong leadership, culturally responsive practices, meaningful family partnerships, and equitable systems are essential to ensuring every student has the opportunity to thrive.
