Ms. Bajaj is an experienced educational leader who has successfully led large and small-scale organizational development efforts in school improvement, systems alignment, and educational equity. She holds an executive education certificate from the Harvard Law School Program on Leadership and Negotiation, a certificate for Turnaround School Leadership from the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia, and a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership from the University of Phoenix at Denver.
Ms. Bajaj has served in school- and district-level leadership roles across Colorado’s Front Range, including leading equity and inclusion efforts for a large suburban district and serving as a turnaround principal in underserved communities for nearly a decade. As a principal, she led school teams to achieve significant improvement on multiple standardized measures and successfully improved schools’ status on the state performance framework.
Ms. Bajaj currently serves as an Analytic Partner with The Impact Team, supporting schools and systems in using data and improvement science to drive instructional coherence and equitable outcomes. She also conducts school quality reviews, action planning, and provides individual leadership coaching to support principals navigating the complexities of school improvement. In addition, Ms. Bajaj serves as a Site Professor at the University of Colorado Denver in the School of Education and Human Development, where she supports aspiring educators with a focus on equity-centered instruction and continuous improvement.
Previously, Ms. Bajaj co-led a national cohort of schools focused on advancing educational equity and served as lead author of the white paper, “Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging in Schools: What Matters Most.”
Her areas of expertise include turnaround leadership, systems improvement, social-emotional learning, and educational equity.
Ms. Bajaj’s community involvement includes service as a board member for a nonprofit supporting immigrant youth and families, a former board member of the Colorado Association of Educational Specialists, and a member of the Front Range Equity Community of Practice facilitated by the Public Education Business Coalition (PEBC). Her career honors include being selected as a Fulbright Educator Scholar for summer study of political and economic systems in Tanzania, delivering the keynote address at the Great Education Colorado Advocacy Summit, and presenting at the National School Board Association convention on the impact of educational inequities in funding.
